Edit 10/2024: This morning I called the insurance office because my husband and I had not received our renewal information for car insurance (our policy expires in 3 days). Our agent/staff were very polite per normal, which is something we’ve always appreciated. The agent reassured me he’d text me to follow up & he did in a timely manner. The agent notified me via text message that State Farm would not be renewing our coverage due to a total loss accident & one use of roadside coverage within the year. Although disappointed, as I have been insured with the same office since I began driving, I understood the decision. I was upset because I was not told I’d be losing coverage until I inquired about it three days before coverage would have been lost. And on top of that, the ability to text message the agent had been blocked before I could ask any questions. Very disappointed in how this situation was handled & the poor customer service we received at the end of our coverage term. We understand their decision but wish they had dealt with our separation more professionally."
